It is highly resistant
to chemical corrosion and temperature change (thermal shock).
BOROSILICATE glass is suitable for many applications in the medium temperature
range. It is especially used for furnace windows and stove windows.
It transmits a high percentage of infrared radiation.
Borosilicate glass can be tempered.
Thus, the mechanical and impact strength as well as the thermal shock
resistance are improved greatly. VIO is the exclusive distributor in France.

PYREX
PYREX® is manufactured
by rolling and casting respectively which results in a slightly textured
surface. However, we can make it transparent.
ROBAX GLASS
CERAMIC
ROBAX
is a glass ceramic which outperforms thermal resistance standards. It
has a expansion coefficient of virtually zero up to 800°C.
It can support the toughest thermal shocks.
ROBAX is ideal for heating systems
as it transmits 90% of radiation in the infra-red spectrum.
The continuous working temperature
of vitrocéram is 740°C. It
can be heated to 800°C and then dipped in water at 0°C with
no risk of breakage.
VYCOR
This flat glass is VYCOR®,
and has been developed for its resistance to heat, thermal shock and
chemical attack. It can be used at temperatures up to 1200°C and
is transparent to wavelengths from Ultraviolet to Infrared.
Its main application
is use as a sight glass. VYCOR® is three times more resistant to
wear than other optical glasses. Electrical properties are similar to
those of Fused Quartz. VYCOR® is more resistant to discoloration
from exposure to radiation than other optical glasses
