Technical properties 390 UVILEX® 390 Z blocks ultraviolet radiation from artificial light sources. Consequently organic materials, can be exposed to radiation considerably longer.
Application Primarily used for shop windows and display areas. There is not a noticable change in the appearance of the color of objects displayed behind UVILEX® 390 Z not to be exptected (general color rendering index Ra=98) Saves energy and provides cost-saving
UV-protection .
Table 1 : Permissible exposure time for various degrees of light resistance1)
Table 2 : Multiplication factors for various lamps compared to daylight1) 1) Source : Osram technical information 8/84 Example of use in practice : A garment made of fur is exposed to daylight at a luminance of 1,000 lux daylight. In this case the permissible exposure time without incurring any fading is about 300 hours. With a conventional tungsten halogen lamp double this exposure time (600 hours) is possible. By using UVILEX® 390 Z the exposure time is increased by as much as four times, so that the fur can be exposed to light for a total of 1,200 hours. The exact exposure times can be calculated by using the multiplication factors indicated in the table, for which you can find the link below.
